Two ways to play

Start from the letters, or start from the clues.

Some answers appear when you see the letter pattern. Others click when the clue gives you the idea. RuneWords lets you move between both approaches on the same authored board, with shared progress, rewards, hints, and completion.

Wheel

Swipe to discover the answer.

Trace letters around the wheel to form target words. It is fast, physical, and good for quick sessions when you want to hunt patterns by sight.

  • Find required board words and bonus words.
  • Shuffle letters when the answer is hiding in plain sight.
  • Spend runes for help without giving away the whole puzzle.

Clues

Switch to a crossword-style solve.

Tap into clue mode when you would rather reason from definitions. Enter the answer directly and the same board fills in as you solve.

  • Across and down clues are built from the authored board.
  • The clue route shares progress with wheel solves.
  • Use either style whenever one gives you the better angle.

Campaign

1,000 boards across 10 realms.

The launch campaign is bundled with the app, so the core path is not waiting on live content. Start in Tree Library, move through realms like Crystal Forest and Ember Vault, and clear each 100-board realm at your own pace.

Before launch

What players should know.

Is this a wheel game or a clue game?

Both. Every authored board supports the letter wheel and clue-based solving, and both routes fill the same puzzle.

How much content is included?

The launch campaign contains 1,000 boards arranged into 10 realms, plus a daily challenge loop for return sessions.

Do I need Game Center?

No. The campaign is built to start without it. Game Center adds leaderboards and achievements where available.

Does the core campaign need live content?

No. The campaign content is bundled with the app after install. Purchases, ads, support, and online services may need a connection.

What about ads and purchases?

RuneWords is free to download, with ads where allowed and optional purchases such as coin packs, a starter bundle, rewarded refills, and Remove Ads.
